Identity Theft in the Workplace

Description:
Identity theft and data breaches have been increasing steadily at alarming rates. For the 17th year in a row, it has been the top complaint to the FTC, with no signs of slowing down. Medical records are the primary target, as they are the most lucrative for these criminals. We will look at some of the tactics that they are employing, as well as things that we can do to safeguard ourselves personally, as well as company and patient data.

  • Define ways to protect personal, company and patient data from breach

Criteria for Successful Completion:
To receive continuing nursing education contact hours, participants must achieve 80% on the post-test and complete an evaluation at its conclusion.
