This webinar will educate the audience on how to address the practical pieces of information that risk managers should be sure to address in reviewing and managing contracts and incorporate proper insurance requirements in contracts (i.e.: type of coverage, limits, additional insured status, primary coverage, waiver of subrogation, deductibles and self-insured retentions, acceptability of insurers, claims made policies, etc.). This presentation explains how to establish insurance requirements for most contracts used in the healthcare industry and how to verify compliance with those requirements during the term and termination of the contract. This presentation will address some elements of the insurance requirements and provides a single set of specifications that can be used for most contracts. This presentation will also focus on the indemnity language.
